What paper feed components do

These rollers lift one sheet from the tray, separate it from the next, and hand it to the registration point. Pickup, feed and separation rollers work as a set, which is why they are usually replaced together.

How to identify the right part

Order by position, not just by machine: the pickup, feed and separation rollers in a tray are different parts. Note the tray number that jams so the right position is replaced.

Signs a replacement is due

Repeat jams in the same tray, two or three sheets feeding at once, skewed sheets, or a jam code that clears but comes straight back.

Grades available

Parts in this category are offered in several grades, and the grade is stated on every product page. Genuine and OEM parts are made by the original manufacturer, identical to the part fitted at the factory. Compatible parts are third-party replacements built to OEM dimensions and function, which is where most of the cost saving sits. Remanufactured and OEM-pull parts are original assemblies that have been cleaned, reconditioned and tested. The part number and compatible machine list are shown for each item so the grade can be chosen against the job, not against the picture.

Finding the part number

The fastest way to identify a copier part is by its manufacturer part number rather than by description. Numbers printed on the old part, in the service manual parts list, or on the machine’s consumables label will match a product in this category directly — search the number, or open the machine’s model page and find it there. Where a manufacturer supersedes a number, the superseded value is listed with the product so an older number still finds the right part.
